When you request additional information about or register to use the Beckon Services, We may require you to provide Us with Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”). PII includes but is not limited to your name and email address. When subscribing to the Subscribed Services, We may require you to provide Us with billing information that may also be considered PII, such as company name and address, and the number of users that will be using the Subscribed Services. We may also request additional information, such as the company’s revenues, headcount, or industry (“Additional Information”). PII and Additional Information are referred to collectively as “Customer Information”. Customer Information does not include other non-personally identifiable data that a Customer submits or uploads to the Subscribed Services or otherwise provides to Beckon (“Company Content”).
Beckon uses Customer Information to perform the services requested. For example, if you fill out a “Contact Me” Web form, or submit a support ticket, email, comment or live chat request through Our websites, We may use the information provided to contact you about your interest in the Beckon Services.
We may also use Customer Information to contact you to further discuss your interest in the Beckon Services and to send you information regarding Our promotions that we believe may be of interest to you.
Through the use of commonly-used tools such as cookies, Beckon may collect information from you as you browse Our websites. This information includes standard Web browser information (such as browser type), your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, and the actions you take on Our websites (such as the Web pages viewed and the links clicked), collectively referred to as “Browsing Information”. Beckon may provide bulletin boards, blogs, or comment sections on Our websites. Any PII you choose to submit in such a forum may be read, collected, or used by others who visit these forums, and may be used to send you unsolicited messages. Beckon is not responsible for how the PII you choose to submit in these forums is used or further disclosed.
Beckon posts Customer testimonials on Our websites which may contain PII. We obtain the Customer’s consent prior to posting a corresponding testimonial.
Service Providers. Beckon does not share, sell, rent, or trade any Customer Information with third parties except as described in this Policy. Beckon may disclose Customer Information to Our contracted service providers so that these service providers can provide services on our behalf. We may also share Customer Information with Our service providers to ensure the quality of information provided.
Feedback. If you send Us a request, inquiry, feedback or other comments (for example via a support email), We reserve the right to edit and republish it in our training materials which may be displayed on Our websites, in order to help Us support you and other users with similar issues.
Obligated Disclosures. We will disclose your PII (a) if We are required to do so by law, regulation or other government authority or otherwise in cooperation with a new or an ongoing investigation of a governmental authority and (b) to enforce our terms of service or to protect Our rights. Subscribers to the Subscribed Services cannot opt out of receiving transactional emails related to their account.
Subscribers to the Subscribed Services may update or change their registration information by editing their user or organization record. To update a user profile, please sign in at https://app.beckon.com/login with your email and password, then click your user name in the left column and select “Edit Profile.” To update an organization’s information, sign in at https://app.beckon.com/login with your email and password, then select “Company” in the left column. To update billing information, please email support [at] beckon [dot] com. Requests to change your information will be handled within 30 days.
Beckon will not use, review, share, distribute, or reference any such Company Content except to provide the Beckon Services to you and to collect certain aggregate non-personally identifiable information for analytical use and to monitor and improve the Beckon Services and in order to create, offer and make available aggregate information, for research, development, marketing and other purposes.
Beckon uses security measures to protect Company Content and Customer Information from unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and help ensure the appropriate use of Company Content. When Subscribed Services are accessed using Internet Explorer version 7.0 or later, Firefox version 2.0 or later, or Safari version 3.0 or later, Secure Socket Layer (.SSL.) technology protects Company Content and Customer Information using both server authentication and data encryption. These technologies are designed to make Company Content and Customer Information safe, secure, and only available to the Customer to whom the information belongs and those to whom the Customer has granted access. Beckon also implements a security method based on dynamic data and encoded session identifications, and We host Our websites in a secure server environment that uses firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other industry standard technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. Subscribers to the Subscribed Services are responsible for maintaining the security and confidentiality of their Subscribed Services usernames and passwords.
Beckon recognizes the privacy interests of children, and Beckon encourages parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. Our websites and services offered on Our websites are not intended for children under the age of 13, Beckon endeavors not to collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Beckon targets Our websites or the services offered on Our websites to adults and not to children under 13.
